Mufadhal Abbas Shkara (born 1953) is an Iraqi Architect born in Baghdad – Al Kharadha District from a very well known family descended from Prophet Muhammad or what is called “Sayyid / Sharif families”. He studied Architecture in University of Baghdad and move to Saudi Arabia 1981. He is a Senior Vice President in Zuhair Fayez Partnership (ZFP), which is one of the largest Architectural / Engineering Consultant in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

Biography[edit]

Mufadhal Abbas Shkara was born 1 / September / 1953 in Baghdad – Al Kharadha District in Iraq. His father is Mr. Abbas Baqer Shkara – a lawyer and judge and his mother is the daughter of the famous Sheikh of “ Tammem Trip (1)” in Baghdad area. “Sheikh Hatam Al Sultan”. Mufadhal Abbas Shkara descended from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He is a “Sharif” or “Sayyid”. He is the grandson number (30) of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He is the son of Abbas, Baqer, Muhammad Ali, Hasan Muhammad, Muhammad, Hasan, Almurtatha, Sharaf Aldin, Naser Allah, Mohssen Al Khabier, Nasser, Manssor, Abi Alfadhel Emad Aldin Mosa Al Nakieb, Ali, Abi Alhasan Muhammad, Amar Abi Mansor, Al Mufadhal, Abi Alhasan Muhammad Alsaleh, Abi Al Abas Ahmad Al Bon, Abi Al Hasan Muhammad Al Ashtar, Abi Ali Aboid Allah Al Thalith, Abi Al Hasan Al Mohadth Al Akbar, Obid Allah Al Thani, Abi Al Hasan Ali Al Saleh, Obaid Allah Al Araj, Al Hossain Al Asqar, Al Emam Ali Zain Al Abdin (PBUH), Al Emam Al Hossain (PBUH), Al Emam Ali (PBUH).

Mufadhal Abbas Shkara is the third son among eight sons and daughters (Ebtisam, Sharaf Aldin, Mufadhal, Mowafaq, Nabil, Mothafar, Husam Aldi, Wafa). He got another eight brothers and sisters from his stepmother.

He is married to Manal Akram Tashkandi and has a son “Faris” and a daughter “Sarah”

Education[edit]

Mufadhal Abbas Shkara studies his elementary school in Alkaramah Elementary School. His intermediate in Al Hodah Elementary School and his high school in Al Sharqiah High School. Then he studied Architectural Engineering in University of Baghdad – College of Engineering from 1970 to 1975 (B.Sc Architectural Engineering) then he joined the first post graduate studies in Architecture in the year 1976 and completed his high Diploma in Architecture design in 1977 and his M.Sc degree in Architectural design in 1979.

Career[edit]

Mufadhal Abbas Shkara started working for Hisham Munir & Associates in Baghdad 1975 as junior designer. Hisham Munir & Associates was one of the biggest multi discipline design office during the 60 70 and 80 eighty. From 1975 to 1985 he continued on and off working for Hisham Munir & Associates. In 1980 he worked for limited time as main designer for Al memar design office in Baghdad.

Mufadhal Abbas Shkara left Iraq and went to Saudi Arabia in 1981. He start working for Kara Establishment which was one of the main general contractors in Saudi Arabia. He was Director of studies department which was responsible for pricing bidding and preliminary planning of proposals and projects.

In 1987 he started working for Zuhair Fayez Partnership as Project Manager. Zuhair Fayez Partnership is one of the largest multi discipline consultants in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. He gradually moved within Zuhair Fayez Partnership into Director of IT in 1992 and then Director of Business Development in 1994. In 1997 he was promoted to Assistant Vice President for Business Development and in 2007 he created the Corporate Advancement Division in Zuhair Fayez Partnership and he was promoted to be Senior Vice President. During his work in Zuhair Fayez Partnership he worked on many big and complex projects like King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center in Buenos AiresArgentina, King Abdullah Sport City, Many Big palaces, Islamic Center in Caracas – Venezuela, Master planning of many airbases with its GIS, FMS and MMS (Maintenance Management System, Haram Library, American International School in Jeddah and many others).
