The Alert Today Florida 300, was held on February 21, 2015, contested over 120 laps, on the 2.5 miles (4.0 km) track, It was the first race of the 2015 NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Start[edit]

The race was set to start at 3:48 p.m. EST, with Austin Dillon leading the field to the green flag. The race was under long green flag runs until the first caution, which was called for debris with 40 laps to go. The race restarted with 35 laps to go.

The Big One[edit]

The second caution came out for a six-car wreck in the front straightaway. A total of six cars were involved in the incident. The red flag was displayed for a short period, in order to facilitate cleanup on the track. The race restarted with 21 laps to go. Debris on the track brought out the third caution of the race. Ross Chastain was the free pass under caution. The race restarted with 14 laps to go. The fourth caution of the race came out for a huge crash with 9 laps to go. A total of eleven cars involved, Kyle Busch was injured in the incident. The red flag was displayed for the second time of the race.

Finish[edit]

The race restarted with 5 laps to go. Ryan Reed won his first career win at Daytona.
