Project Four Notes[edit]

This page is the page where I shall keep my notes for my Wikipedia Article. My article shall be about Sonny Rollins' album Plus Four.

Note[edit]

I've also noticed that his album Tenor Madness has a really terrible article. Would I be able to do both for the project?

My notes include:[edit]

can I use Wikipedia as a reference?

Basic Structure of Article[edit]

From my observation of the CD articles on Wikipedia, the basic format is

  • history and other trivia
  • track list and song credits
  • musicians (usually referred to as personnel on jazz albums)
  • Summary of some reviews and dates underneath picture of album

So I should probably follow that format, so the bulk of my article will be on the history and release information that precedes the track list and personnel. I can include Sonny's style at the time, what groups he had been playing with, and the general feel jazz had at the time. Also, I will include public reaction to the album (if I can find a reputable source of it).
