Collaboration?

Backspacer I want to know if you're interested in working on making this article GA status and if you would furthermore like to do that with my input. If you want to know what I think constitutes a GA (FA, really) album article, you can take a look at Everything That Happens Will Happen Today. (I've also seen all your work on the GA Pearl Jam album articles, so I have an idea of what you think works best for GA album articles.) Does that interest you? I'm probably going to do some light editing to this article over the next couple of hours, but I'm not sure if I'll do anything extensive or radical unless you're game. Either way, if I end up applying for GA, I would credit you, as you're by far the main contributor. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 22:31, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Also If you are interested, please post on my talk. Thanks. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 22:31, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Are you saying that as a matter of policy you aren't working on Pearl Jam articles anymore? By all means, choose what (if anything) you want to do on Wikipedia, but I simply want to be clear--rather than make some criticism--you are refusing to work on this class of articles indefinitely? (I only ask so that I won't waste my time in the future.) If so, that's unfortunate for all of the good work that you've put into them, but I'm happy for your sake that you're doing something that apparently interests you and makes you happier. And thanks for your quick response. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 22:45, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Certainly Please avoid these articles if you're concerned about your well-being; Wikipedia's not worth it. I would simply like to point out that if I nominate this for GA, you will be a co-nominator by virtue of your input into the article, but I would not expect anything from you and I would make it clear at the nomination that you're not involved in its current editing. Anyway, thanks again and I'm glad that you decided to return to Wikipedia in a more enjoyable and healthy fashion. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 22:54, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

An assignment.

Hey I just want you to do an easy assignment for me since it's costly for me to be on the internet on a certain amount of time. On the film article Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance an IP editor just put Vengeance as part of the cast, which is probably true but no source. Can you help find a source for that. Thank you. − Jhenderson 777 22:37, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the help. The addition of Vengeance turned out to be a fake which is what I was afraid of. − Jhenderson 777 14:26, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

I have not done any vandalism (not prove you wrong).

I have changed some the full episodes because on http://teletoon.com/teletoon3/teletoon.php?language=En&func=php%7Ctemplates/tvSchedule.php%7C0&xVar=0 it says. (I should of put references, sorry.)

And the micro episodes because when I check on websites (YouTube & Marvel.com) they have not been uploaded yet, and are uploaded usually the next day.

I could be wrong, but I have not tried to do any vandalism.

Thanks for putting dates for Supergirl (film) and other Superman films. I am determined to find more information regarding the background of the movie and reviews including box office takings. Reverting small changes to comic book film templetes

Why are you reverting the edits that I made for the film templates for Spider-Man and Superman as well as the 1960s Batman TV series!? The sections for the characters were reworked in order to be more specific about the exact incarnations for said template. It wouldn't make much sense to have an "In other media" section for said character (rather than the characters' histories in general), and not be more direct right off the bat. I don't think that it would be easy to get to the point the other way! BornonJune8 (talk) 12:51 p.m., 18 October 2010 (UTC)

The changes are very subtle and are meant to align better with said TV series or movie series (and not the comics in general, which have their own respective templates). BornonJune8 (talk) 12:56 p.m., 18 October 2010 (UTC)

The 1978-1987 Superman film series, the Spider-Man film series, and the 1966-1968 Batman TV series are the templates that I'm referring to! BornonJune8 (talk) 12:59 p.m., 18 October 2010 (UTC)

  1. Wikipedia is not a reliable source.

Iron Man 3 director

Good point about questioning Jon Favreau as director of IM3, I just assumed he was and it seems the media is doing the same. I cant find a source specifically confirming him as director but a lot of sources seem to ignore this and go straight into reporting on his development of the film. Maybe this was all settled when he renegotiated his IM2 deal and they (the media) all have moved on but I cant confirm that either.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:25, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

I agree, my point was I didn't even realize there isn't a confirmation. Again nice editing.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:32, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

2012 and beyond in film

I noticed that you deleted hours worth of work that I did on 2012 in film because you say that because the films don't have release dates, they shouldn't be on there. The studios have targeted release dates for those years and I cited reliable sources (ie. trades and press releases) for that data. I don't want to get into an edit war with you, so I'm voicing my concerns here. Just because the studios haven't set release dates doesn't mean that they aren't going to be released in that year. In some cases, the studios have even narrowed it down to the exact month and year, just not a specific date. I only entered films in which talent has been hired and which have been officially announced with press releases by the studios, not films that have been "announced" and then nothing happened ... some of these films are in pre-production or, in some cases, production. I feel that since I cited the data (in some cases better than the citations for films with actual release dates), they should be included. You've already done this to me on the List of fantasy films:2010s, a page which I actually created and had been maintaining for over two years (actually more since I maintained the information on List of fantasy films:2000s for two years prior to the creation of the latest list). It's beginning to get annoying because I've devoted many hours of my time to these pages and feel like my contributions are being undermined by you. I'm a member of the WikiProject Films and have been for at least 3 years, so everything I've done is all in the best interest of providing the best information possible.TheLastAmigo (talk) 17:34, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

No, I'm taking it to you because you're the person who reverted all my work. I was only doing this out of courtesy to you because I didn't want to get into an edit war with and was trying to avoid us both getting in trouble for violating 3RR. This is what the talk page is for. Don't give me that. I guess you think that it's your way or the highway. And by the way, you posted on my page last week, so I'm not allowed to post on your page? I'm going to revert all my work back and you better not delete it or I'll report you to Nehrams2020. TheLastAmigo (talk) 22:24, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Actually I apologize for the above statements. I kind of overreacted there and was very much out of line. I'll take the debate to the talk page for 2012 in film. We can bring other users into the debate and see what they think. But please do not delete my contributions until other users have weighed in. TheLastAmigo (talk) 22:56, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Who do you think you are?

Dear User -5-,

Superboy 1 was released Nov 3, 2010. That is a fact. That is relevent. Just because you didn't write it, doesn't mean it's wrong. So if someone has something to add, leave it be.

2012

Can you explain why the info shouldn't be up there? If not, leave it alone. Thank you. --Bold Clone (talk) 19:40, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

...Your reasoning is that the movies shouldn't be listed because we don't know the release dates. I say they should be on the page because of the unknown release dates. Better safe than sorry, and we can always remove or adjust the info as we get more data. Happy now? --Bold Clone (talk) 00:22, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
We know that if the films are released, then that is the time period during which they will be released. Better safe than sorry. --Bold Clone (talk) 00:25, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
We don't know if the films are going to be released? That's why we would have a section for tenative dates or TBA dates. --Bold Clone (talk) 00:30, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
"A schedule of future events may be appropriate if it can be verified." If we cana verify that the film has a tenative release date of 2012 or whenever, then shouldn't the film be listed? --Bold Clone (talk) 00:34, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Upcoming Films for 2012 and Beyond

I entered 3 films for movies that have release dates confirmed by the studios for 2012 and beyond on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_and_beyond_in_film. I see that you have deleted these 3 entries for a reason that is invalid, as all 3 films have dates announced by the studios.

I also see that the only source that you provide links for in your references is a single website source (Coming Soon). Is part of your criteria for accepting a valid reference that it only comes from 1 particular website? Why are no other movie websites or trade announcements included in your references? The page appears as if it is a link farm for Coming Soon.net.

I find this highly suspicious as it looks like that you are offering preferential treatment and credibility to this single website. I have reinstated the links to the 3 films that have studio announced targeted release dates, which meets your criteria for inclusion on this Wiki page. If you continue to delete these entries I will bring this to the attention of a senior Wiki editor and ask them to investigate your actions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Screenhead (talkcontribs) 07:07, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

I see that you have deleted my inclusions from the page again. I have now filed a report with Wikiquette alerts asking for the arbitration of a Wiki editor. Screenhead (talk) 07:29, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

I don't believe that I am lying when I informed Wikiquette that you had created most of the entries for that page. A quick look at the history for that page shows that you have created numerous entries, including several deletions and removals of others work. And if I am splitting hairs on your work on this page, it doesn't change two facts: that in each of the 3 movies that I provided, the studio has issued a month and year release date, and that out of all of the 36 references for that Wiki page they all point to a single website source.Screenhead (talk) 07:47, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
Why does a day need to be included? In the case of the Avatar sequels, the studio has announced a month and a year of release. In the case of Robopocalypse, the studio has announced the season of the year of release. At the very top of that page it lists years up to 2022! Do you expect that there are specific days targeted for release for all the movies in development between now and then? Of course not, but what I am doing is adding films that have the month of their release and in the case of the DreamWorks movie, the season. Furthermore, and again you're not seeing my point, all of the references cited for the films on that page direct back to 1 specific website. Why not the IMDb listings or references to The Hollywood Reporter or Variety as to the specific date announced for the movie's release? You're not answering that question, and you're also splitting hairs on the reasoning for including the Avatar sequels and Robopocalypse films. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Screenhead (talkcontribs) 07:56, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
Maybe you don't care about it but spamdexing does happen on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spamdexing#Wiki_spam. We can continue to debate about this issue but it seems that it will not resolve the issue. I am content with letting senior Wiki editors look at that page and consider if it's being used to generate link traffic for 1 website and if having a month and a year qualifies for a film to have a legitimate purpose and be included on that page's listing.Screenhead (talk) 08:09, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
