Wicca article

[edit]

Thanks for your contribution to the talk page for this. I reverted your paragraph but thought I'd reply to you here. You don't need permission to edit any article - you can go right ahead and do it. However you need to be aware that anything you write - especially here where a lot of well-informed people watch this page! - will need to be backed up by good evidence from reputable sources. So don't be surprised if people react robustly if you pitch in with speculation , opinion or personal research. A good place to start when thinking about contributing is here which is full of good advice. You might also start by editing a smaller page covering a sub-topic, rather than diving into a high profile page like Wicca! Get back to me if you need more advice. Actually I believe you are right; you can't edit the Wicca article at the moment because it's protected. Perhaps you should discuss your suggestions for the article at Talk:Wicca so we have a better idea of what you're proposing. If it has anything to do with Playstation games you're not likely to convince us, since Playstation has nothing to do with Wicca. Also, the religion is called "Wicca", not "Wiccan". Fuzzypeg was right when he wrote this, but I note that the article has just been unprotected, which means anyone can edit it again. However I do counsel caution: as he points out, Wicca (the Neopagan religion) has nothing to do with role playing or computer games with a similar name. One of the warnings on every edit page here reads:

*If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it.

And this page is one which is scrutinised very carefully by some knowledgeable and active editors. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk to me) 06:46, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
