list article

[edit]

recently, a list of five false claims/gaffes were removed with the edit summary To list each one separately is unhelpful for the reader and provides undue weight to one source. i would like to point out that this is a list article, and removing them is not helpful unless one is willing to convert the article to prose. .usarnamechoice (talk) 16:37, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@.usarnamechoice I understand your perspective, however I disagree that simply because it is a list article, we should have 6 separate dot points referring to statements made on the same day, factchecked by the same company, cited with the same source.
Even if you want each exact 'gaffe' listed, surely they can be condensed to 1 dot point as they are again: made in the same speech, factchecked by the same company and cited with the same source. Tomorrow and tomorrow (talk) 00:17, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List vs Prose

[edit]

Hi Editors,

I see @Pyraminxsolver has changed the article to a list format, and removed the notice saying prose would be better. I think we should try to get WP:Consensus on this, one way or another. Possibly an RFC? Tomorrow and tomorrow (talk) 03:28, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
