Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Please familiarise yourself with the Wikipedia Manual of Style[edit]

Hi, I've noticed a lot of your edits are on constituency articles. I request that you familiarise yourself with the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. In particular, the following sections

  • MOS:BOLDLINKAVOID, which says to not use wikilinks in the article's name, especially the first mention of it, in the lead sentence.
  • WP:NOINDICSCRIPT, which says not to use Indian scripts (hindi/marathi, etc.) in the lead or in infobox since this is the english wikipedia.

I also urge you to create a wikipedia account. It is simple and takes less than a minute. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 04:39, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A good source for Indian elections[edit]

Hi, the Election Commission of India has a page that has information of all the elections (National and State), since independence. Feel free to use information from (and cite) those pages -MPGuy2824 (talk) 05:07, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
