Article talk pages are exclusively for improving articles

[edit]

Please be aware that according to our talk page guidelines, an article Talk page is to be used for discussing how best to improve the article, not to discuss other editors' behavior, and especially not to accuse them of anything. "WP:Comment on content, not on the contributor." If you believe another editor's behavior violates Wikipedia's behavioral policy or guidelines, you may begin by raising a discussion at their User talk page, describing neutrally what behavioral issue you think has been violated, and including evidence for it (in the form of diff links). If you are not satisfied with the result, you may raise a discussion at WP:ANI for administrators to evaluate.

In your case, you have violated the Wikipedia:No personal attacks behavioral policy in this comment at Talk:Algeria, where you accused an editor (myself) once of POV-pushing, and three times of disruption. The article Talk page is the wrong venue for that; please do not talk about other editors at article Talk pages; a legitimate complaint may be raised at their User talk page. You appear to have a dynamic IP, and some of your comments may have been signed under one or more of the following ids at that Talk page discussion: 105.235.131.146 (talk · contribs), 105.235.132.223 (talk · contribs), 105.235.132.199 (talk · contribs), 105.235.133.225 (talk · contribs), 105.235.131.52 (talk · contribs), 105.235.131.22 (talk · contribs), or 105.235.133.219 (talk · contribs). Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 02:09, 31 August 2024 (UTC) updaated by Mathglot (talk) 02:54, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You responded at The Talk page (as 105.235.133.219 (talk · contribs) ), saying:
"Negative, I mentioned it twice count again, WP:POINT & WP:BLOCKP."
First of all, even one time is one time too many, but here are the comments of yours I was referring to, that were inappropriate at the Talk page (emphasis added):
 1. "This is a POV pushing that is clearly and seriously disruptive,"
 2. "what gives you the right to disrupt editing this article,"
 3. "We ask that you kindly stop being disruptive and let users edit..."
The point is, do not comment about other editors at article Talk pages; comments about user behavior should be raised at the talk page of the user concerned. Mathglot (talk) 02:43, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Mathglot, Thank you for bringing this to my attention. While it's true that I have a dynamic IP address, which is COMMON for many internet users, I can assure you that I did not make the comments you're accusing me of. If you have any specific evidence or screenshots, I'd be happy to review them. Otherwise, I believe it's important to avoid making unfounded accusations. Regarding the rest, I acknowledge your alert. -- 105.235.131.22 (talk) 22:50, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome. But I am sorry to say, you are not fooling anybody. The sequence was this (the following are excerpts from comments at Talk:Algeria):
 1. (diff) ...what gives you the right to disrupt editing this article... 105.235.133.65 (talk) 01:04, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
 2. (diff) ...You also used the word "disruptive" three times about my comments. (Mathglot (talk) 01:27, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
 3. (diff) Negative, ** I ** mentioned it twice count again, 105.235.133.219 (talk) 02:08, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I added emphasis to the word "I" in that last one. Still claim to be a different user than the one that left those comments? Do you always use the "I" pronoun, when talking about stuff somebody else did? Perhaps I made a wrong assumption, and it was just a slip of the tongue on your part; instead of typing, "Negative, I mentioned it twice", you probably meant to say, "I doubt it; it looks like they only mentioned it twice", right?
