Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. I wanted to let you know that some of your recent contributions to Summer Walker have been reverted or removed because they seem to be defamatory or libellous. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 02:13, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

She was a stripper. She's talked about this in interviews. The ref that is still cited in her article's early life section details this, with quotes from Summer herself. How can a truth she shared be libel? Should I have changed it to exotic dancer instead? I only added it back because I saw no explanation for it's removal, since that detail was a big part of her story when she debuted as an artist. If it's going to be removed then her quote about it being a fun experience should also be removed from her personal life section since that is how she described her time as a stripper. 12.75.127.28 (talk) 03:08, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi IP, I see you are continuing to makes edits with edit summaries explaining what you are doing which is great. If any of your edits are reverted again, the best thing to do is start a discussion on the article's talk page (Talk:Summer Walker) and WP:ping the reverting editor there. I will leave you some additional information about editing Wikipedia. S0091 (talk) 17:39, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There hasn't been any activity on Summer's talk page in at least a year's time. Why would I go there when Binkster left me a message here? Seeing as how I still haven't gotten any answers to my questions, I'm not sure asking them on Summer's inactive talk page would change anything. Thanks for the additional information on the rules of Wiki (which, from my pov, only seem to apply sometimes and on certain pages...*looks at the early life section of rapper Eve*) but I don't think I'll continue to edit for much longer. LOL, this place is too confusing and stressful for me. I've read the policy and guidelines before and assumed I knew the rules, but it seems I still don't so I'll leave it to the people who do. Funny I thought editing would help me de-stress. Boy was I wrong! 12.75.127.28 (talk) 19:31, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The reason no one has posted on the talk page is because no one has started any discussions. That last comment was just non-sense. The benefit on posting on the talk page is others might join and this particular article has 74 watchers. From looking at the talk page, everything that warranted a response received a response. It's one of those you don't know until you try. Wikipedia is based on consensus and one must at least try to gain consensus and work out differences. But, yes, you are correct; it is not always easy because writing an encyclopedia, especially one anyone can edit, is not easy. If you are looking for what we call gnoming things to do, try the Task center. If you have questions or need help, you can ask at the Teahouse. S0091 (talk) 20:13, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
