Parapsychology Sanctions Notification

[edit]
Please carefully read the following notice:

This message is to inform you that the Arbitration Committee have authorised discretionary sanctions for pseudoscience and fringe science, which you may have edited. The Committee's decision can be read here.

Discretionary sanctions are intended to prevent further disruption to a topic which has already been significantly disrupted. In practical terms, this means that uninvolved administrators may impose sanctions for any conduct, within or relating to the topic, which fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, expected standards of behavior and applicable policies. The sanctions may include editing restrictions, topic bans, or blocks. Before making any more edits to this topic area, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system as sanctions can be imposed without further warning. Please do not hesitate to contact me or any other editor if you have any questions.

Information icon Hello, I'm Mann jess. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:Pseudoscience that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.   — Jess· Δ 19:36, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please assume good faith in your dealings with other editors, which you did not on Talk:Frederic William Henry Myers. Assume that they are here to improve rather than harm Wikipedia. Dougweller (talk) 17:33, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 14:30, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

I have blocked you for consistently unconstructive hectoring comments advancing a POV that is orthogonal to Wikipedia policy. I have left account creation enabled for now, because in my view if you adopt a stable account and accept guidance (and possibly restriction away from certain hot button topics for you) you may have interests here that we are not seeing with the succession of IPs. Guy (Help!) 18:51, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've extended your block for another three months, since you've returned to the same personal attacks after your block expired. -- Atama 17:48, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Who did I attack personally? I referred to the Guerilla Skeptics - which is well known fact. Please revert the ban.
