July 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm HaeB. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Alpine musk deer, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. HaeB (talk) 03:01, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Meleagridini" has been demoted to a synonym of Tetraonini in 2021, which is why "Meleagridini" is a redirect of "grouse."--Mr Fink (talk) 23:25, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 60 hours for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content. Your failure to communicate with other editors and to discuss changes has become disruptive, even if done in good faith. NOTE: If you will agree to discuss changes on an article's talk page and not to enforce your own taxonomic views on this encyclopaedia, you can request an unblock and explain how your editing pattern will be modified to ensure consensus for change.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Nick Moyes (talk) 10:08, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Phasianidae classification[edit]

The family is divided into two subfamilies: Rollulinae and Phasianinae, the latter is divided into two clades, the erectile clade with the orphaned genera Lerwa, Ithaginis, Pucrasia, Rhizothera, and Perdix and the tribes Lophophorini, Meleagridini, Tetraonini, and Phasianini and the nonerectile clade with the tribes Coturnicini, Gallini, and Pavonini and the orphaned genera Galloperdix, Tropicoperdix, Haematortyx, and Polyplectron, the tribes Gallini and Pavonini are further divided into subtribes, the subtribes of Gallini are Francolinina (francolins) and Gallina (junglefowl and bamboo partridges), whereas the subtribes of Pavonini are Argusianina (arguses) and Pavonina (peafowl), though other classifications confirm the nonerectile clade as a distinct subfamily (Pavoninae). 172.243.156.245 (talk) 15:04, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
