STOP removing sources from discographies

[edit]

What do you mean "the charting week is over"? What does that have to do with anything? The sources at the tops of the columns have not updated with the chart data. Doesn't matter if the "charting week is over", what matters is the sources have updated and they haven't. So stop removing the sources. You're honestly acting like a vandal at this point and I will keep reverting you every time I see you pop up. Oh, and stop coming to me with image requests. I don't care that the version I uploaded is the solo version—we usually upload the original version of the cover anyway. Ss112 23:01, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I mean I have see people do exactly that, so I thought that I would follow. The solo version is not the original cover though. The original song, which features Polo G, was released on November 5, and the solo version was released on December 3. He dropped the solo version to add a verse that never made it, which replaces Polo G’s verse.

Doesn't matter if other editors have removed these sources—they were wrong to do so, so you should not be following their lead. The chart positions need to be sourced and the sources below the chart positions should stay there until the header sources have updated. You've lied about when the sources at the tops of the columns have updated before as an excuse to remove the sources, so I don't trust your judgement on that and I think you should stop removing sources altogether. Find something else to do.
As for the cover, that's great—you're ignoring what I said and just explaining the differences between the songs. The solo version is the original cover artwork. That's what matters most of the time. Any other cover artworks are considered extraneous and could be argued to be unnecessary, so I'm not uploading it. Ss112 23:11, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So if I understand correctly, even though the Polo G version was released first, the solo is still the original?

I don't care when one was released versus the other. I don't know why a solo version of a song would be released after a remix anyway? It's usually always the other way around. Also, I like how you apologise for "removing sources" on Shawn Mendes discography and then proceed to remove more sources below the chart peaks, including the Norwegian peak for "Summer of Love", which if you had checked, is not in the source at the top of the column. You clearly do not check and just think that because the song was released months ago, the proof for the chart position must be in the column source now. It isn't, so never assume. If you don't want to be considered a vandal, stop removing sources from discographies entirely. Ss112 23:27, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
