Welcome!

[edit]

Hello! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:Lustigermutiger21, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please see WP:TALKO. Peaceray (talk) 20:06, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Hello, I'm Ednabrenze. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Purple People Bridge, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Ednabrenze (talk) 03:40, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Youth Criminal Justice Act. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. HirowoWiki (talk | contribs) 22:37, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Youth Criminal Justice Act, you may be blocked from editing. HirowoWiki (talk | contribs) 22:38, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Please be mindful not to perform controversial edits while logged out, or your account risks being blocked from editing. Please consider reading up on Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts before editing further. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Imzadi 1979  23:06, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Restoring content to Clays Ferry Bridge

[edit]

You recently restored content to Clays Ferry Bridge. Some of that content is a direct copy from another source in violation of copyright law. That exact text cannot be restored to the article without furthering the copyright violation. Please do not add it back again. Imzadi 1979  06:07, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

i was planning on fixing the copyvio, witch i did just now. Feel free to fix it further, instead of removing legitime content . 172.59.209.18 (talk) 06:12, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
For legal reasons, you can't just restore infringing content. It's not "legitimate content", and it can't be put back as it was, again, for legal reasons.
You can restore the information behind it, but you can't just put the text back as it was. Doing so broke policy and the law. Imzadi 1979  22:49, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
yes, that's what I was referring to as "legitimate content". 172.59.209.18 (talk) 22:56, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You had restored the direct quote without changing it. That meant more infringement that had to be deleted. (No, misspelling words doesn't count as a change.) You can also infringe a copyright by copying with a light modification. You must completely rewrite the content in your own words. Imzadi 1979  23:01, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
