@Julietdeltalima and Drmies: and User:196.188.241.215. From a quick look, it seems to me that User:196.188.241.215 has introduced small amounts of new material with some grammatical mistakes, and the ones I've seen only seem quite minor. This is not disruptive editing! We do not wish to discourage editors whose native language is not English. This encyclopedia is a wiki, and we have constantly had a very obviously placed advertisement claiming that we are the encyclopedia that anyone can edit, despite this being impossible to much of the world (editing by people in Tigray Region is mostly impossible right now). Since this is a wiki, minor grammatical mistakes can easily be corrected by other editors. Please read WP:BIAS about the demographic bias problem that we have in en.Wikipedia. In the current situation where Horn of Africa articles frequently have a problem with disruptive edits (discretionary sanctions are active), and we also have a problem with worries that not enough people from the Horn of Africa are actively editing, I would strongly encourage User:196.188.241.215, who appears to be based in the Horn of Africa, to keep editing. In particular, it is much better to have content contributed in the user's own words with wrong grammar rather than have material copied/pasted from other sources with correct grammar.

To User:196.188.241.215: you will protect your anonymity better by creating an account. In the current situation with Eritrean intelligence services apparently roaming freely in your area, this is in your own interest. Please try to check your grammar if you can, but perfect English grammar is not an obligatory requirement for contributing to en.Wikipedia. Boud, I do not have the time to go through all the edits the user made on Teddy Afro, or which particular edits triggered which reverts and which notifications for what reasons. If you can take the time to type all this up, including the time-consuming and certainly patronizing links to such things as WP:COPYVIO as if I, an admin with a few thousands edits in the copyvio under my belt, wouldn't know this, then certainly you could, instead of writing up an essay-style argument about alleged bias, have explained what actually got you so upset. BTW I have no idea why you are pinging me, unless it is for me to confirm the general "perfect grammar is not a requirement", which I fully support. Happy days. @Drmies: Just to clarify: I only intended to ping you as an independent person on the issue of "perfect grammar is not a requirement", together with the need to encourage, not discourage users from en.Wikipedia-demographically-biased-against areas. The copyvio link was to say that User:196.188.241.215, as far as I've noticed, has not done any copyright violations. I referred to this because people who are non-native English speakers and are criticised, or worse, told not to contribute to the encyclopedia, may infer that their only option to contribute is to copy/paste "perfect" text from non-free-licensed sources. Your admin status was irrelevant to my ping. To summarise: the thing that got me upset was the risk of discouraging a good-faith user who happens to make minor grammatical mistakes.
