A favor for an article

[edit]

Because of your ridiculously impressive contributions to RuneScape, could you give me feedback on my draft article? --The Σ talkcontribs 01:54, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for the late response - I've been moving into a new room and the computer's been in a box for almost 3 days. I'll cast an eye over the article as soon as possible and post a review on your talk page. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 16:13, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fannie Mae Clackum

[edit]

Do you have a source for the fact that Fannie Mae Clackum is living? Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 19:26, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source that she's not? Trouble is, unless there's evidence to the contrary I err on the side of caution and say that someone's living - classing a living person as dead wouldn't be very good. Bear in mind that |living= is basically compulsory for all WPBiography articles, but if you don't think she's alive feel free to change the parameter. I won't mind. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 20:23, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear 1ForTheMoney, thanks for your work on Ben l'Oncle Soul. It's only my second article on this project and I still need to get used to the conventions on the English Wikipedia. ;) Kind regards, Mathonius (talk) 14:58, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome, although I think I should have put his name as "Ben l'Oncle Soul" and not "Soul, Ben l'Oncle". Feel free to make that change. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 15:57, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for fixing Humboldt Crabs page

[edit]

Thank you for the wikiedits on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humboldt_Crabs That is the first and only page I have ever done and I have a lot to learn. AFarLimit (talk) 15:11, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia's learning curve is certainly a steep one. Perhaps Help:Wiki markup will help you out. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 17:49, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

help with edits for The Secretions page?

[edit]

Hi, I'm not sure if you're the one to talk to about this, but shortly after the Wiki page for Sacramento band The Secretions went up, I submitted some edits and corrections for it that were never approved. I am actually in the band and can personally verify that everything I submitted was correct. Why were the edits not approved and what do I need to do to get edits approved? Thank you for your help. Mickierat (talk) 16:33, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First, it is best to avoid editing topics which you are professionally connected to, because this creates a conflict of interest. As for your query, I've done some digging and it seems that the article was deleted in January 2009, which is where your edits were made. Somebody has since created a new version of the article with a clean history, which is why your edits aren't appearing. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 17:52, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou!

Hiya

You did some brill work on the article I wrote yesterday, I am so chuffed with it. I was really surprised that it was formatted so fast and well and it was very encouraging that no one sent me hate mail or dissed me for being a bit PC slow! I hope you found it a tiny bit interesting. Thanks again, I know you do this for 100s of people but Beril Jents is well over 90 now and she will be so chuffed to see this online.Thecontextualist 09:11, 19 August 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thecontextualist (talkcontribs)

It needs some more work, such as an infobox, but the article seems to be referenced well enough to avoid problems. My work on persondata means I get through a lot of bios, many far worse than yours. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 10:48, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Expert-subject

[edit]

FYI, see these threads. thank you. Frietjes (talk) 16:12, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to stay out of that one. My interest in the expert templates is merely passing, as any action taken requires semi-automation which I don't use. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 21:20, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, FYI, I've removed the Expert template which | you and another attached to this article a coupla years ago. There's an explanation on the talk page if you're stiill interested. Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 03:36, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

All I did was replace it with {{expert-subject}} (at that time, {{expert}} was deprecated but still often used), so I have no opinion on it. I would rather stay away from it now, especially after the recent TFD and subsequent DRV. 1ForTheMoney (talk) 14:14, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
