Copyright problems with Ross Barkley[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Ross Barkley, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.evertonfc.com/player-profile/ross-barkley. As a copyright violation, Ross Barkley appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Ross Barkley has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Ross Barkley and send an email with the message to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at Talk:Ross Barkley with a link to where we can find that note.

Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Syrthiss (talk) 12:37, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Syrthiss (talk) 12:48, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

November 2010[edit]

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Harry Kane (footballer), as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Minimac (talk) 14:20, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted that article as well as blatant copyright infringement of http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/academy/second_year/harry-kane.html. I'm not sure I have been clear enough - we cannot accept copyrighted text for articles, especially if it is the first edit that is a copyright violation. Its a little complicated to go into, but the way Wikipedia licenses its text essentially the copyright violation "poisons" any future edits unless we can clearly show it has been excised. If you continue to create articles with copyright violations, your account may be blocked from editing for the protection of the encyclopedia. Thanks. Syrthiss (talk) 14:27, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Krisztián Adorján requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.
