Re: China move request[edit]

I posted this earlier at Talk:China: If there was no consensus either to move it or not move it in the first place, there is also no consensus unmove it. There are two options: 1) Go through the dispute resolution procedure to force a arbitration committee review of administrator action in moving the pages by arguing that the decision was procedurally (not logically) flawed. For example, did all three administrators believe they were compelled to take action on this issue, or did they believe calling "no consensus" would be siding with the "oppose" side of the discussion? 2) Try to think of an alternative solution that you think would marginally improve this article, or means to edit this article that would be generally acceptable to incorporate what you believe is wrong with this article. For example, could you alter the text in the lead section to expand its scope, or present the People's Republic of China in a different manner?

Repeatedly trying to post a new move request in the opposite direction is not going to result in anything. The best to hope for is some sort of middle ground to emerge through incremental changes and discussion.--Jiang (talk) 13:59, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
