[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Warren Wilson. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 03:37, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I Created this page, it is of the actor/writer/producer of the same name. 21yearoldboyfromNY (talk) 04:02, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please write original prose about him citing reliable sources. Do not copy the text from IMDB wholesale; as it infringes on their copyrights. —C.Fred (talk) 04:07, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I would have cited imdb as my source, since it is. But, since you removed it, how am I supposed to list his production and writing credits on his page? Also, should I merge his name from "Warren Wilson" to "Warren Wilson (actor)" to avoid confusion of the college of the same name? 21yearoldboyfromNY (talk) 04:10, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Brittanee Drexel has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bfacebook\.com (links: http://www.facebook.com/people/peter-brozowitz/593856487, http://www.facebook.com/people/Peter-Brozowitz/593856487 (redirect from http://www.facebook.com/people/peter-brozowitz/593856487)).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. License tagging for File:Brittanee Drexel.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Brittanee Drexel.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:05, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find a tag for non-free image, but I've added text to explain the situation. More importantly, I've added a rationale that says even though the image is not free, it is appropriate for use in the article. I agree with you that including an image is important for the sake of identifying Drexel. If you find a free image, let me know. However, as I said on the image's page, I'll defend the use of the image, at least until Drexel is located. —C.Fred (talk) 18:32, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I really appreciate your help. 21yearoldboyfromNY (talk) 05:22, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Username question

[edit]

I was wondering why you registered a new username instead of requesting that your old username be changed to reflect the change in age. When you register a new name, you cannot go back to the history of the edits you made on the old name and all information you had there. You can request the name change at WP:RENAME#Instructions. Explain in your request that you were previously User:20yearoldboyfromNY, that your age changed and you registered that name instead of requesting the change to that name. That way, your contribution history will be intact. Wildhartlivie (talk) 16:49, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's OK. I never will look back at all that stuff. Thank you for your advice, I'll request a user name page next year when my age reflects, but I'm fine for now. Thank you. Sincerely,21yearoldboyfromNY (talk) 14:20, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Cary Grant in To Catch a Thief trailer cropped.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Closedmouth (talk) 14:36, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Michael Jackson. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Rodhullandemu 23:52, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Ambrose Price.jpg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Ambrose Price.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:43, 31 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 23:43, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Brittanee Drexel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article fails to meet notability requirement under Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information #4 and Articles about people notable only for one event. Unfortunately people disappear and are on TV for that disappearance all the time. It is a sad event, but unless Brittanee Drexel is notability for an additional reason, she is dose not meet Wikipedia notability requirements

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —C.Fred (talk) 01:21, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Brittanee Drexel.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Brittanee Drexel.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ZooFari 06:12, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

A tag has been placed on Joan Camden requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
