Welcome

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 2405:204:1016:52F:9CCB:1BE5:8F6E:75D2, made test edits on the page 2026 FIFA World Cup which have been reverted or removed. If you did this, please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. If 2405:204:1016:52F:9CCB:1BE5:8F6E:75D2 is a shared IP address and you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors and further irrelevant notices.

Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You do not have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:17, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Walter Görlitz. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Jan Erik Vold have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Arturo Umberto Illia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:18, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Love Island (series 3). It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Javier Mascherano. Cynko (talk) 18:22, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
