Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Proud Boys are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines, not for general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. You would like to read multiple sources, pull out facts your consider to be relevant, interpret all of them together, perhaps add in other things you know to be true and tell the world what you have determined about the Proud Boys and/or other topics. Hundreds of millions of people do that in various blogs, newspapers, youtube channels, magazines, self-published books, scholarly books, peer-reviewed journals, etc.

If your work is published by a reliable source -- one with professional editorial oversight and a reputation for fact checking and accuracy -- Wikipedia may then use it as a source to be summarized for article content. Until then, it is considered "original research" and not eligible for inclusion here.

That you do not understand that distinction is not discussion related to improving the Proud Boys article, which is what the Talk:Proud Boys page is for.'' SummerPhDv2.0 17:29, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
