Gotta stop edit warring, gotta start explaining what you're doing. Drmies (talk) 22:27, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nelumbo nucifera

[edit]

I have some sympathy for the edits you have been trying to make to Nelumbo nucifera. Regards, Nick Moyes (talk) 22:35, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nick Moyes stated it perfectly; you and Apokryltaros are both engaging in edit warring on the article and the back-and-fourth reverting needs to stop. I hope that you two set things aside and that you work things out. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:35, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not selectively re-edit my comments!

[edit]

You have selectively edited comments I left you on your page in order to represent a different view. You may either delete them completely, or you may leave them there. But you may not misinterpret what I said to you by selectively removing elements of them without any edit summary or explanation. See WP:TPO for guidance on what you may and may not do to other editors' comments.

With this diff I said I have some sympathy for the edits you have been trying to make to Nelumbo nucifera. That said, you're on route to getting yourself blocked from editing. This will happen if you don't discuss the edits and the reasons for them on the talk page. I might well join in and support moving synonymy information away from the lede and into the classification section. But this will only happen if you and Apokryltaros dicuss in a constructive manner the rationale behind the changes you would like to see implemented. There's an obvious disagreement right now, and those with an interest in botany, like you folks, ought to be able to come to a consensus on what's best for the article. Regards, Nick Moyes (talk) 22:35, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

You have since selectively edited both Oshwah's comment, and mine (with this diff) in order to make it look like I said: "I have some sympathy for the edits you have been trying to make to Nelumbo nucifera. Regards, Nick Moyes (talk) 22:35, 25 September 2018 (UTC)" This is not acceptable behaviour and a misinterpretation of my advice to you. I have now struck through that selective edit, as is my right, and remember that all edits made to any page remain permanently in their edit histories, whether deleted or not.
