Your spam campaign is over. OhNoitsJamie Talk 01:53, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by inappropriate links? It's the new version of memidex.com and I'm simply replacing the old links! If you don't believe my word on WordNet connection: https://wordnet.princeton.edu/related-projects 2A01:4B00:865F:C600:8940:8CC3:8B11:F477 (talk) 18:56, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
memidex.com is literally broken, so I'm simply improving Wikipedia. Let me know if you can find a better Wordnet visualiser so that I can use it. 2A01:4B00:865F:C600:8940:8CC3:8B11:F477 (talk) 18:57, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What does this mean? 2A01:4B00:865F:C600:8940:8CC3:8B11:F477 (talk) 18:58, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Neither the old nor the new link meets WP:RS guidelines, and was excessively canvassed by the same IP range, hence the blacklisting. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:59, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ohnoitsjamie: I believe the IP was asking what Courtesy ping, the IP replied to you meant. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 19:06, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was simply fixing a broken link. I just added it to the Wordnet page and after realising the broken 'memidex' link, I thought I can replace the broken ones.
I don't know why fixing a broken link seems to be act of vandalism and results in blacklisting of the entire url. Isn't that too harsh?
Also, again, I really thought I was just simply fixing the broken link, and putting a VERIFIED WORDNET VISUALISER, THAT IS VERIFIED BY PRINCETON UNIVERISTY.
Again, please check lengusa:

Once again, the links are not useful and do not meet WP:RS, period. It's irrelevant what academic project your own project is forked from. "Verified by Princeton" doesn't mean you can spam it all over Wikipedia. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:08, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a way to escalate this? I think blacklisting a url for fixing broken links (and there is just 7 of them) might be an overkill, unless it's how it's done in Wikipedia. 2A01:4B00:865F:C600:8940:8CC3:8B11:F477 (talk) 19:13, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can see the blacklisting entry here; that page also has a "proposed removal" section. Before doing that, you'll want to review WP:COI and make the appropriate declarations. It's also worth noting that you were not simply replacing citations, but adding inline spamverts and adding unnecessary and inappropriate refs. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:52, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"Please indicate why you expect that that abuse has stopped."
The thing makes it 'spammy' is adding it to ~7 places, and I did that to replace the dead 'memidex' url. Both are WordNet visualisers, it's not like I replaced dead 'memidex' url with something completely different.
The abuse (which I wasn't thinking it's an abuse) has stopped. 2A01:4B00:865F:C600:8940:8CC3:8B11:F477 (talk) 13:04, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can state your case (along with your COI declarations) at the blacklisting page in the "proposed removals" section. Good luck. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:35, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's really strange one person like you has all of this power and can speak in such a condescending manner. 2A01:4B00:865F:C600:8940:8CC3:8B11:F477 (talk) 18:14, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
