Hi 2 Hertz! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia.
Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Ushau97 (I'm a Teahouse host)

Speedy deletion

[edit]

You tagged Cel-Fi - The Smart Signal Booster for speedy deletion as WP:SPAM. If the page you saw was the only version that had ever existed, that would have been a proper action. However, had you checked the page history, you would have found that the spam arose from a new user's edits, and that there was a non-spammy version in the page history that could be reverted to. In such a case, a revert to the non-spammy version is preferred over a deletion. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:41, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Just wanted to say thanks for your message, and I agree with what you've said. I'll try to be more careful next time I see something like this. Apologies for the mistake (I'm still new here!) and many thanks for your explanation. 2 Hertz (talk) 12:59, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Opting in to VisualEditor

[edit]

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 50 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:21, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
