November 2023[edit]

Information icon Hi 3XYEMaj! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. That makes sense. Thank you, Alexeyevitch. 3XYEMaj (talk) 06:31, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest editing[edit]

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Would you mind offering some guidance or specifics? I tried using other published articles as templates for guidance in creating the first article. Should I note the original Wikipages I referenced in Talk page? Subjects being unrelated, the aviator I'd heard about years ago, and the doctor not seeing articles to link to, I researched and created article on their foundation which seemed to be equally newsworthy. The main references I used were newspaper articles I could find. Perhaps the publications on the doctor article are eliciting the advertising? I discovered half publications and half presentations or course materials, but listed as Selected Works as that's how others seemed to have other media works listed. Do these need to be bifurcated? Or is it the presentations that's the flag as I'd only seen that listed on a couple pages and those were Tedx? Seeing after the fact where Wayback archives are cited differently, so the citations likely need to be cleaned up as these were archives, but from Newspaper.com. I'm not seeing a clear example on the Template:Cite news page with regards to if the archive has to be attainable via a hyperlink online and if not how to address. Guidance is very welcome. 3XYEMaj (talk) 13:10, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
