Draft:Promoter Rafael

[edit]

Needs a lot of work. I did some very basic formatting on it. I would recommend that you find some similar articles and understand how they look and are written and formatted. (avoid anything very different from the others) See wp:Simplified Manual of Style for policy.

  • You need to establish wp:notability (people) before the article will be accepted. See general notability guideline. If you can not clearly establish this, I recommend abandoning the draft.
  • Your citations (external links) need a lot of work. See wp:citing sources. I recommend using the wp:template {{cite web}} There is a tool in the standard Wikipedia editor mentioned in citing sources.
  • There should only be one (maybe two) "official" links in the External links section. Seven is way too many! Find one that has links to them all in an obvious place.
  • If you have questions, the wp:Teahouse is a good place to ask. Avoid asking too many.

Best of luck! Adakiko (talk) 09:00, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Promoter Rafael

[edit]

Here is one of the article's problems: The link to Agakagwawo Media is a YouTube channel and would appear to be a self-published source (SPS) see WP:SELFPUBLISH and wp:Identifying and using self-published works. As it's under the control of Rafael, he can probably have what ever he wants added to the channel. This is what is known as "wikt:self-serving". Self-serving content should not and does not meet wp:reliable sources (RS). Sources need to be written by wp:secondary or tertiary (third) sources. These should be under editorial review like a high-quality newspaper, website, or respected author. Blogs, self-published websites, Twitter, Facebook, or other social media channels are not acceptable. Websites with user generated content WP:UGC such as Discogs or IMDB are not RS as the author is unknown and the author's edits may not have been reviewed. Agakagwawo Media can be used as a source provided it is not self-serving - not much that isn't. Who the CEO is is being sourced by the company's website is likely okay.
That Agakagwawo Media link (and is also what's known as a wp:BAREURL. You need to change all of them to wp:inline citations.
I am not familiar with showbizuganda.com. If they are vanity press - someone can pay to have an article published, they would not be considered RS. theugandandaily.com would seem likely under editorial review and therefore a good source.
"Wikilinks" such as [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Portal Fort Portal] should be [[Fort Portal]] and display as Fort Portal. See help:linking for more detail.
That spotify link: spotify.com/track/6iFnrDt1iWzhDH7SJj0uCn?si=D0IfgF51QuyqoKUxfRPXBg didn't work for me. Often the stuff including and after the question mark "?" is tracking info, is not needed, and should not be included. Try it without that stuff. If it still works, just use that.
I would strongly recommend checking every link before submission to see if they work. Depending on the browser, you should be able to right-click and select "open link in new tab" or control-left-click and not loose your page. Wikipedia has many wp:disambiguation pages and you should not have any of those in an article.
You might want to look at some articles with this category: Category:Social media influencers. It might provide you with ideas.
I suspect that your draft needs a lot of work. Please don't resubmit without getting most of the issues handled. The people reviewing submissions get a lot of really bad submissions and probably don't want to see an article being repeatedly submitted. Best of luck! Sorry!
