Jackie Mason once attempted to rape my then-19-year-old sister.[edit]
My sister is 77 now (I am 82). At the time she was 19, and living at home.
She had been given a small part in 2 Las Vegas shows; this was her debut into show business, other than recording a song that had sold a good number of records.
Mason had invited her into his hotel room. She was flattered,and naively went there. That's when it happened.
Why didn't she report it? Big celebrity- who would believe her? She didn't even tell our parents and me about it until years later. As it happens so many times she had blamed herself- that maybe she was at fault My father believed it but my mother had a hard time doing so-she had been a fan.
Note to Wiki: a famous former child star made an accusation regarding another famous Hollywood personage. He happened to have been a close relative of mine. You accepted her story without any proof; I believed her as well.
The only reason I came here today is because I just read of this man's death. And, oh yes-a couple of years ago I had brought this up to someone. When I did so his response was-and I quote:"Yeah, I know Jackie Mason".
