Devils Tower[edit]

You are editing a quotation. You cannot "improve" what someone else has said and still have it as an attributed quotation. SpinningSpark 21:17, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's obviously not a quotation. Whatever stupid game you are playing, stop it. 51.7.34.192 (talk) 21:21, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have no idea why I have been blocked. There seems to be no reason for it, so I assume it was somehow a mistake.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 15:50, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

If I knew the reason for the block, I would address it. But I have no idea why I have been blocked. There seems to be no reason for it, so I assume it was somehow a mistake.

If you know nothing about the block, you should request an account at WP:ACC to avoid this problem in the future. 331dot (talk) 19:51, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I indeed know nothing about the block, and I would like to know why it was placed. Is it a mistake? If so, it should be lifted. If it is not, then clearly, something I did was problematic, but if no-one is going to tell me what it was, how can I possibly do anything about it?

Decline reason:

This IP was blocked for long-term abuse. As advised above, WP:ACC would be the place to go. GABgab 21:48, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

There was obviously no abuse of any kind from this IP, nor will there be. And I don't want or need an account. Will you just for God's sake explain why you have blocked me? Blocking someone and refusing to state the problem is something I've never seen before and it utterly defies explanation.

You've been told how to deal with this. Talk page access revoked. --Yamla (talk) 22:35, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, Yamla, I just declined the UTRS here because I didn't see the protection you put on here (looked at the block log and saw it still had TPA.) I'll go on the record saying this is BKFIP and I agree with the blocking admin's judgement based on the UTRS ticket. Since I declined that procedurally, I don't feel I should decline here again, but based on UTRS and here, there is only one IP user I've ever met with this level of sanctimonious behavior.
