re: about the edit counter[edit]
Ahh, yeah, those boxes are meant to show the top-10 most edited pages. Usually, by the time someone discovers edit counters, they have edited a great many pages, and it's intended that many of the pages they edited won't be shown. In this case, I think I made it hide any pages that have only one edit so far, because... the intent is to show pages that the editor often edits, and 1 edit didn't seem like "often edited". --Interiot 14:31, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok, when I find more info I'll tell you. If you are prolific in the English politics section then it's very possible I'll end translating other voices you completed.

Sovereignty[edit]
I choose the term "sphere of influence" for a couple of reasons. First because certain colonial powers achieved soverignty over beyond their own borders within other nominally soverign nations. Think of China under the British or India under the East India Company. You mention Romania, think also of Hungary where the Soviet Union exercised a crushing veto of local policy.
Secondly, though, and more importantly, politics is not limited to governments. Sovereignty is an attribute of corporations and in the American tradition; of individuals. The notion of Popular Sovereignty fueled much of the debate leading to the US Civil War.
It is possible that the term "sphere of influence" is too bound to colonialism but it was the only one I could think of on the fly. Ace Diamond 00:23, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
