Hello, I'm Discospinster. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Odontodactylus scyllarus, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ... discospinster talk 21:40, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Extra advice for editing medical articles

[edit]

The citation standard for medical articles is a fair bit stricter than the standard for the rest of Wikipedia's articles. Normally, articles require the WP:Reliable sources policy; however, medical articles require the WP:MEDRS (reliable medical sources) policy whenever a statement makes a medical claim. In a nutshell, the main difference is that medical claims need to be cited by recent professional medical textbooks or journal articles that satisfy these search filters on Pubmed. Non-medical statements can be cited by more or less any mainstream source.

All that said, WP:MEDRS is really the only Wikipedia policy/guideline page you'd want to familiarize yourself with if you're interested in editing medical/pharmacology articles like Adderall. Other policies are fairly intuitive. Seppi333 (Insert  | Maintained) 04:11, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Progeria may have broken the syntax by modifying 3 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 01:04, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
