Hello. I would like you to put this back as I was in the process of applying references/citations. I would like you to re-upload the file, as I spent weeks working on it!!! And, I will remove the caption in the picture at the top of the file referencing Sinatra. If you cannot do this, then all my work is gone. I understand your criteria. Okay. I'll explain further.
First things first: there is nothing inherently wrong with you wanting to rewrite a page. I have no objections with you doing that as long as you follow Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
That being said, everything you added was unsourced, and replaced content that was already sourced. You say you were in the process of applying citations, however it's best you provide these citations at the same time you add the content, not afterwards. This is especially true in regards to biographies of living persons, where any unsourced content needs to be removed immediately, and where we simply cannot wait for you to add the sources.
To learn how to add citations to articles correctly, see WP:CITE.
As far as the image goes... that's not really my area of expertise, perhaps someone more knowledgeable about that can chime in, but I can say that we can't just take an image found on Google and plop it into an article. See WP:IUP for more details. (But at the same time, it appears to have been deleted three times already, so I would just strongly recommend you use a different image).
It may also be a good idea to read up on WP:NPOV, as well as any other relevant pages linked to at WP:POLICY, because your changes seem a little promotional imo.
Finally, consider working on your rewrite at your sandbox; just click that red link to create it. But please provide the sources you are going to use when you first start the sandbox, our rules on biographies of living people applies everywhere, including user sandboxes. Hello. Thank you for getting back to me. The referenced citations: please explain, in a few words, when are they needed? and they to be applied to the person I'm writing about? Example: If I say, "Julie worked with Tony Orlando during many telethons." Do I need to find a webpage that talks about this, mentioning Julie and Tony Orlando? Or, just the telethons with his name? Do you see where I"m coming from? Please understand my intention is not to cause trouble. I just find all of this so confusing at times! Could we repost the one that you took down and then I am given a few days to add citations/references? I already completed the wikipedia references..... Julie and I worked on the new draft for over two months and then it's removed. Now, I unerstand there are rules, which I think you must do! However, I am confused with references and to add? I'd hate to think that almost every page must have alinked reference. Also, do I have to scout out the websites that cite the info I'm saying about someone? or, does wikipedia find them? 66CATMAN, did you have a chance to read the information linked from SkyWarrior's posts? WP:CITE in particular answers your question in some detail; Help:Referencing for beginners is a how-to guide / tutorial. The basic principle is that all information should have a reliable source, which does not have to be online.
Another thing: you say Julie and I worked on the new draft – is Julie the person the article is about? If so, you have a conflict of interest; there are some important pointers below. One thing you should be aware of, which is a bit counter intuitive for many new Wikipedia editors, is that information based on our own personal knowledge should not be added to an article unless the info has also been published in a reliable source. (For instance: If Queen Elizabeth were to create a Wikipedia account, she would not be allowed to add facts to the article about her father, if those facts are only based on her own knowledge, and haven't been published elsewhere.) --bonadea contributions talk 19:17, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
