Interested to understand why one would replace a 1 year old photo with a 9 year old photo. thanks

Well that is probably because a 1 year old photo is more up to date than a 9 year old photo. I can tell you I certainly do not look like I did 9 years ago, so it is important that we update photos as much as possible. On Wikipedia, we like to stay updated as much as possible. right...the older photo was recently put in place of a current photo, that's what is confusing. I have undone the edit to reflect the most current photo - which someone replaced with a 9 year old pic
