Looks like some wikipedia bias justified by obtuse rules.

June 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Wiiformii. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Portal:Current events/2024 June 17 seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Wiiformii (talk) 04:07, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Portal:Current events/2024 June 17, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Wiiformii (talk) 04:10, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My edit is accurate. Why is it being reverted? The health officials are unnamed, as is the organization they are affiliated with. So they are unnamed, and it is not clear that they are even actually health officials. 69.121.182.83 (talk) 04:14, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you continue to WP:3RR as you have, you may be blocked from editing. Furthermore the topic on which you are editing is continuous and can only be edited about by Extended Confirmed Users, see WP:ECP.  Augu  Maugu ♨ 04:40, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly is the issue with my edit? How exactly is it inaccurate? 69.121.182.83 (talk) 04:41, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The source does not reflect the change. Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 05:14, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How does the source not reflect the change? I quote the article in saying health officials, and they are not named in the article. 69.121.182.83 (talk) 11:48, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Wiiformii. I noticed that you made a comment on the page User talk:69.121.182.83 that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Welcome![edit]

Hi 69.121.182.83! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.

I've noticed that you've expressed an interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Unfortunately, due to a history of conflict and disruptive editing it has been designated a contentious topic and is subject to some strict rules.

The rule that affects you most as a new or IP editor is the prohibition on making any edit related to the Arab–Israel conflict unless you are logged into an account and that account is at least 30 days old and has made at least 500 edits.

This prohibition is broadly construed, so it includes edits such as adding the reaction of a public figure concerning the conflict to their article or noting the position of a company or organization as it relates to the conflict.

The exception to this rule is that you may request a specific change to an article on the talk page of that article or at this page. Please ensure that your requested edit complies with our neutral point of view and reliable sourcing policies, and if the edit is about a living person our policies on biographies of living people as well.

Any edits you make contrary to these rules are likely to be reverted, and repeated violations can lead to you being blocked from editing.

There is a blatant case of double standards here. One of my edits was reverted because the source did not use the word "allegedly". When I made the exact same edit by removing the word "allegedly" from a different event because the word was not used in the article, it was reverted for not being "productive". 69.121.182.83 (talk) 12:06, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No double-standard. This has been repeatedly explained to you, including over at WP:ANI. YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO EDIT ABOUT THE ARAB/ISRAELI CONFLICT unless you have an account that is 30 days old and has made 500 edits. If you do so again, you will be blocked. --Yamla (talk) 12:07, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That is actually the definition of a double standard. The reasoning applies to me but not to your extended users. You are clearly using your position to push a narrative. 69.121.182.83 (talk) 12:10, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There's literally nothing stopping you from satisfying that criteria. This is my last response to you. --Yamla (talk) 12:12, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Noted that you are taking advantage of your position to enforce your narrative. 69.121.182.83 (talk) 14:55, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There's no narrative, you solely need to be more experienced on Wikipedia, having been here for 30 days and made 500 edits Wiiformii (talk) 15:03, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I understand you are falling back on an arbitrary rule because you cannot describe how my edits do not reflect the article. 69.121.182.83 (talk) 15:07, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia bias[edit]

Justified by obtuse rules enforced by people on a power trip with the tiny amount of authority they have. 69.121.182.83 (talk) 15:05, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
