Identity[edit]

Greetings!

Based on your behavior at Longshot, you seem to have some issues with how Wikipedia works. I thought I'd drop by to provide some helpful tips and hints.

  1. Stop calling people who disagree with you trolls. It will win you zero friends and others will oppose you on principle. Likewise, implying people who disagree with you are clueless is quite rude.
  2. In the course of your edits, which I won't link here to make tracking it more difficult for others, you have revealed your identity. That's not forbidden here, but I'm not sure you did it on purpose.
  3. Related to the point above, you have also revealed a conflict of interest behind the changes you're making to the article. Please review WP:COI to understand why this is an issue and how you can overcome it.
  4. The last sentence in this edit is a borderline legal threat, which is not allowed per Wikipedia:Legal threats. At the same time, it's quite meaningless, as there's no copyright violation and therefore nothing that Marvel can "take away".

I politely suggest you review Talk:Jeph Loeb#Edit request to see the best way to handle this. On that page, Loeb's assistant correctly follows Wikipedia to have changes made to the article. Not all requests can be honored, but we do our best. Argento Surfer (talk) 13:02, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You mentioned comic books in your help desk question, the one below this one, but those would be a primary source. It's best to have a secondary source that interprets what the primary source says. Drawing conclusions is original research.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 16:13, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm guessing you have no "Identity" and your passive aggressive taunting mixed with ignoring all of the language used on me make it a joke at best even reading what you posted. Have fun guarding Longshot on a Wikipedia page. It's hardly worth wasting this much time over. - 73.152.121.208
I'm not taunting you, I'm trying to be helpful. I have reviewed the "language" used on you. It looks like you've been trying to make changes to the page for almost a year under different IP addresses. None of them are particularly harsh. "rvt - a series of mostly unhelpful edits", "rvt - I'm not sure why some of this content was duplicated from another section below" , "Unexplained removal of content", "enough of this nonsense" (referring to an edit war, not you specifically). You can review all of them yourself by looking at the page history.
It took two page protections for you to visit the article's talk page, but I can overlook that because you're new and probably didn't realize a talk page existed. However, in your first post you call everyone who has reverted you (I count a minimum of 5) a troll, say the replies you've received have been "nonsense", and imply that User:BOZ hasn't read an X-Men comic and is therefore clueless. And that's just the first two sentences. Your second post to the talk page, as I mentioned above, was a bluff at legal action.
Looking at all of this at once, I don't think you have much of a claim to being mistreated. Argento Surfer (talk) 20:52, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
