September 2010[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. SarekOfVulcan (talk) 18:57, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Genres[edit]

Don't add 3 levels of warning in a single edit an hour after the last edit, thanks. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 19:40, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wording[edit]

Please be more careful about when you use the term "vandalism" -- people get in a snit when it's used for things that aren't unarguably Vandalism. Also, it's preferred to use the term Wikihounding instead of "stalking", because of the legal connotations of that term. Thanks. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 17:41, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • The user has made an effort to revert every one of my last handful of edits without considering what he is reverting, some of which is just plain ridiculous. He's obviously doing it out of malice instead of considering the actual content of the article. This would apply as vandalism.75.85.53.84 (talk) 17:44, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Whenever genres are changed without any discussion, citations or relevant edit summaries, they are reverted. I am not the only one who is reverting your edits, as anyone can plainly see. I'm not in a snit about the "vandalism" edit summary, but I will remind you that persistent genre warring is considered vandalism and eventually results in a block. Please cite your changes with reliable, third party sources, or at least open a discussion on an article's talk page when you want to make any changes. Radiopathy •talk• 20:30, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please point to a Wikipedia guideline that supports this claim. You are the only one who has gone to revert my edits with the exception of one page that I had cited anyway. Nevertheless, when I remove uncited material that does not apply, you restore it so you're not even going by your own standards which itself would result in a block. However, I have cited my own sources. 75.85.53.84 (talk) 21:59, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please feel free to use any of these sources as citations. Please also take note of the 'Non-professional reviews' section towards the bottom of the page; these are the types of citations that are likely to get your edits reverted.
It also helps to use article talk pages to make your case for content changes; otherwise you're seen as just a disruptive anonymous user with nothing to contribute. Radiopathy •talk• 00:50, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Again, you have not pointed to a guideline that says only these exclusive sources are suitable. In fact, the page gives a link to criteria demonstrating reliable sources which my sources fit. 75.85.53.84 (talk) 01:09, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What sources were you thinking of? Radiopathy •talk• 02:06, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Read the sources and tell me why they are not verifiable. 75.85.53.84 (talk) 05:39, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring noticeboard[edit]

There's a report here regarding your edit warring on Random Album Title. Radiopathy •talk• 11:15, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

October 2010[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for your disruption caused by your engagement in an edit war at Get Scraped. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
