Of some interest, that should probably be included with this section on the Black Sabbath "rumor", is that despite Bolton's denial of him being considered as a competitor for the lead singer spot in Black Sabbath the recent Tony Iommi autobiography Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).("Iron Man)" says other wise. Last page of Chapter 55 (219): "We had a million tapes sent in from different singers and most of them were horrible. One of them was from Michael Bolton. I didn't know him at the time. We had Michael come in and we had him sing 'Heaven and Hell', 'War Pigs' and 'Neon Knights'. He was quite good, but he wasn't exactly what we were looking for then. We dropped a bollock there, didn't we?"
