@Daniel Case Can you explain to me why you think I made disruptive edits? When actually it is Fragrant Peony that actually did it!
Dalida was an Italian naturalised French. I kept 'born in Egypt' in the 'intro', but FragrantPeony added 'Egyptian born' before 'Italian-French', which is rather misleading and not relevant. Semantically, people could understand she was Egyptian too. Why the user 'Fragrant Peony' want to put it before Italian-French? Maybe because she can't write 'Egyptian', like his fellow countrymen wrote falsely in the other Wikipedia pages of Dalida in Arabic?! Given the fact Dalida grew up in an Italian environment, attended Italian school and speaking Italian as a mother tongue! Dalida was never Egyptian, she never spoke Arabic and sang just five songs in Arabic compared to hundreds of songs in French and Italian.
Plus I find rather pathetic this obsession to portrait falsely Dalida as an Egyptian!
There are different famous Italians born in Egypt, like Giuseppe Ungaretti or Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and I don't see "Egypt born" in the lead of their Wikipedia pages. Can you illuminate on this, please? Or are you condoning some users and blocking others according to your sympathy?79.66.203.92 (talk) 22:41, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Both Dalida and Egyptian Italian have talk pages. You could have gone there to discuss the issue with FP after your first revert. You didn't. FP reported you to AIV. When you don't discuss, blocks happen. Daniel Case (talk) 23:36, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Daniel Case What the Egyptian Italian page has to do with what we are discussing? Dalida was not Egyptian-Italian, but Italian-French. FragrantPeony reported me different times and Binksternet reverted his edits, suggesting to add references. FP added two irrelevant references (it is mentioned other two times she was born in Cairo) and you blocked me. In fact, I didn't delete Dalida was born in Egypt from the lead, but I added it after 'Italian French singer and actress'. Why the user 'Fragrant Peony' is allowed to put 'Egyptian-born' before Italian-French, resulting in a misleading sentence? Why in other different Wikipedia pages of Italians born in Egypt, I don't see "Egypt born" in the lead of their Wikipedia pages? Thank you for any possible clarification on this issue! 79.66.203.92 (talk) 23:49, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My mistyping; I meant the Italian Egyptians page. Daniel Case (talk) 22:51, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
