Soap Character Pages[edit]

Please can you stop adding “&dash” to any soap character pages please. It’s highly unnecessary to add and it’ll eventually become disruptive. Thank you WikiFlame50 (talk) 20:43, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I just realized that you were talking about the Pobol Y Cwm past characters page. I changed them all to match the Wikipedia durations standard for all soap character pages. If a character made guest appearances one year then the next or came back the year after they had first appeared, Wikipedia weren't keeping the gaps in. They only do that if characters didn't make any onscreen appearances at all during a year. E.g. 1999–2000, not 1999, 2000. I hadn't approved of that in the past but if it is the preferred standard on Wikipedia then I have now accepted it and thought I'd better make the Pobol Y Cwm page the same as the other soaps. I believe WikiFlame50 is referring to this edit [1]. You weren't mistaken nor disruptive.

@WikiFlame50: Please take a look at MOS:DASH, the IP's way of entering the endash or emdash is perfectly acceptable. You can change it for consistency with the rest of the list though, which is something I've done before. - JuneGloom07 Talk 23:56, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
