Welcome!
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
Here are some links to pages you may find useful:
- Contributing to Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- Simplified Manual of Style
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (83.100.188.53) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Why have I been blocked
[edit]83.100.188.53 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I have no idea why I have been blocked, no reason has been provided. My last edit was in good faith, while the topic was controversial my edit was reasonable in removing questionable problematic wording and I posted a justification. My change could have easily been reverted. I note that it has not been rolled back. The exact wording regard how the allegation should be covered is still being discussed on the articles talk page. I post anon to protect my privacy, though my IP is static and shows a history of good faith edits with minimal issues and no edit warring. 83.100.188.53 (talk) 22:14, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
This IP address is within a range used by a webhost; it is not permitted to edit using a webhost. You will have to use other means to edit. 331dot (talk) 22:54, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Accept reason:
Initial whois did not provide the website that the blockee has provided. With this new info, unblock. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 01:59, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
- @DeltaQuad and 331dot: - Would you mind taking another look at this one please? Looking at the resolved /24 around this IP, all of the hostnames seem to indicate that this is, in fact ADSL. IPQS does flag on this IP, but it does tend to have a hair trigger. The PBL listing for this IP also indicates to me that it is likely residential. SQLQuery me! 23:51, 21 September 2019 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
