Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to ScotRail. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

I did NOT change the format of the date - YOU DID, and also made it 2923, rather than 2023. I merely undid that erroneous change.

And if the date format was wrong, it wasn't wrong enough to bother you, until my edit changing 2023-05-22 to 2023-12-31. The several yyyy-mm-dd format dates in the paragraph above it remain unchanged, despite you making an edit to fix 'my' mistake. Do you actually care about the date format, being completely content to leave many dates in the wrong format despite fixing one a couple of lines away? Or were you just looking for an excuse to undo my edit for some bizzaro reason? 86.18.220.144 (talk) 19:22, 31 December 2023 (UTC)

The top of the article uses the template Use DMY Dates. As such, those dates should be used. Your edit was the only one that showed up when I viewed Diffs, so it's the only one I saw. Now you've said there are more, I'll go back and correct the rest. Danners430 (talk) 19:26, 31 December 2023 (UTC)

To reply to your post on my page:

Firstly, undoing the edit was easier as I was not only changing the date, but also re-adding the RWS template. I assumed it was removed by accident since it wasn't mentioned in the edit summary - anyone can make a mistake.

As for the date format - I view diffs, which only show the differences between revisions, so I didn't see the other date formats. As I said above, now I know they're there I shall return and correct them too. Danners430 (talk) 19:45, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
