Information icon Hello, I'm PoetVeches. An edit on Jedwabne pogrom that you recently made (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jedwabne_pogrom&diff=prev&oldid=893979137) seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want to practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! There you deleted text that was sourced (had reference on book: Bikont, Anna (2015). The crime and the silence : confronting the massacre of Jews in wartime Jedwabne. New York: Farrar, Straus and Giroux. ISBN 978-0-374-17879-6. OCLC 899949605.), so this regarded good sourced text, which you if wanted to delete first need to discuss on talk page ([[1]]) to explain your reason. Also you have to consider to show your source WP:CS, to understand why you wanted to delete (see WP:V). Also it is good idea to create your page on Wikipedia and in your first edits avoid deleting other text but try to supply good sourced text. PoetVeches (talk) 20:15, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Before deleting sourced text You need to discuss this on talk page, please, or you can be blocked for editing on some time, for 3 hours or like that

No, You cannot discuss deletion of text on Jedwabne pogrom in edit summary (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jedwabne_pogrom&diff=next&oldid=893979526). You have to tell reason first on talk page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Jedwabne_pogrom)! You say this book is original research, but all published on paper or online material considered good source (although may except for gutter tabloids or like that). Original research (see WP:ORIGINAL) means when a wiki-author (that is like me or you and like that Wikipedia:Authors of Wikipedia) makes serious edits without citing book or newspaper. So, please, avoid deleting text without discussion on talk. If you have other source that USSR was there or here, you can add your own text but the text must have reference (name of book or newspaper, documentary, magazine where you took your point of view; also try to avoid citing gutter tabloids, also try to avoid copyvio WP:COPYVIO, that is try not copy text but try to explain in simple words, paraphrase.). Good luck! PoetVeches (talk) 20:37, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
