It's a fixed IP address assigned by my ISP, it's not going to change in 24 hours, or ever until I change ISP. I'll wait anyway but it won't fix anything. 88.98.86.128 (talk) 19:44, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize, but I do not believe that there is anything further that we can do to help in this case. Blocks simply don't work that way. When you encounter a block, a cookie is set with a 24 hour expiry, and further attempts to edit are blocked if that cookie is set. This behavior is documented here. If you are encountering a block for another IP, while on this one - the only ways that could occur are either that you have not successfully cleared the cookie in question, or you have something upstream forcing your traffic to go over the blocked network (which, would not allow you to edit here as 88.98.86.128 - you would show up as the IP in the range you mentioned above), or you are somehow caching the cookie (that would have to be a seriously misconfigured caching proxy if that was the case...). Unfortunately, we are not in a position to offer technical support for your networking setup, or browser.
