Lukas Graham

[edit]

I removed the {{One other}} tag you had added to Lukas Graham (disambiguation). While I agree that the DAB may be unnecessary, it still doesn't technically fail WP:ONEOTHER. I am unsure how to handle the issue, but I know that it couldn't be PRODed for WP:ONEOTHER. Maybe AfD or linking the DAB in the hatnote instead of the two individual albums? No worries! Mostly, I was hoping the rule-bending tag would make someone else aware of it, who would then be able to think of something better. Mission halfway accomplished, I suppose.
Lengthy PS: I've been doing quite a bit of dab/hatnote/redirection tweaking lately, and am coming to the conclusion that one weakness in Wikipedia's approach to this is treating linkages between things that are named the same because they are closely associated, and things that happen to be named the same but have nothing to do with each other, on essentially the same footing and with the same tools. Dabs all of whose entries are related are far less useful than the other type, because related entries are going to be linking to each other anyway. Food for thought.

I'd probably agree. Boleyn, since you have a lot of experience in this subject, do you think you could offer insight? AllTheUsernamesAreInUse (talk) 02:37, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Follow-up question: Does the "see also" section count, for these purposes? Like, should Sweetener (disambiguation) be considered another case of WP:TWOOTHER bordering on WP:ONEOTHER, or does the presence of the unrelated Global Sweeteners mean it's not even close? - 89.183.221.75 (talk) 18:48, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See also sections can help but in my opinion don’t add validity to the DAB page. Sweetener would be another pretty weak DAB. AllTheUsernamesAreInUse (talk) 20:07, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
