September 2017[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Sitaleki Timani, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 11:10, 30 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

updating appearance/stats[edit]

Thanks for doing that but please next time, can you update the date section in the infobox to current after you have made the change? It ensures people do not add the same information twice....thanks--Stemoc 03:07, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not only does it help ensure people don't add the same information twice, but it's incorrect. If a player made 10 appearances by 1 July 2017, it's incorrect to say he's made 20 appearances by 1 July 2017. TheMightyPeanut (talk) 00:37, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summaries[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to ASM Clermont Auvergne does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Marvin Martin. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. the infobox is for domestic league only, which he only played 26 games. Stats in football players' infoboxes[edit]

Hello, I'm Jaellee. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Michaël Cuisance were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, --Jaellee (talk) 07:09, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
