April 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Fourthords. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Hannah Alper, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! — Fourthords | =Λ= | 16:20, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Hannah Alper. Thank you. — Fourthords | =Λ= | 21:42, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Her parents' social media sites say her birthday is January 16, 2003. 99.246.119.67 (talk) 20:28, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If such social media is verified and publicly available, it might be appropriate to cite in the article. If you don't understand, discuss the matter at the article's talk page before adding it again (or doing similar to any other articles). — Fourthords | =Λ= | 19:49, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Her parents' social media postings are not acceptable references for a person's date of birth (see WP:BLPDOB). Only if independent reliable sources have widely published the date of birth can we publish it on Wikipedia. The person's OWN social media might also be acceptable as a primary source, although it is not as strong as independent sources, since a person might lie about their age for a variety of reasons (see WP:SPS). In no cases is a third party source like a parent's social media acceptable. CodeTalker (talk) 19:15, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

July 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm FrederalBacon. I noticed that you recently removed content from Emmy Rossum without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
