Your edits to Habbo Hotel

[edit]

Don't add those {{fact}} tags again please, some things don't need a citation and others you won't find a reliable reference anywhere. --Spebi 23:30, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If theres no reliable source, then its not reliable information. This site is called wikipedia, not wikitabloid. a5y 19:52, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A5y,

I just checked in on the Nabaztag Wikipedia page and in looking at the discussion page, saw that you stood up for me. I appreciate it. I don't know who the person was and why they were itching for some kind of flame war, but I was basically unable to edit the article at all. Every time I tried to add something (or change some of the needless stuff that s/he was adding) it would get deleted immediately.

Thanks again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.166.25.120 (talk) 15:12, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Prod

[edit]

The {{prod}} tag is only for article and file description pages. It is also only for things you believe will be non-controversial to delete. As such it does not make much sense to post one on WP:IAR which is on of our more important policies. You are welcome to participate in talk page discussions regarding this rule at WT:IAR. Thanks. Ballyhupahaun

[edit]

Hello. You created the article Ballyhupahaun on 21 January 2008 and claimed that the Irish version of the town name meant Tunnel of the Goats. Someone else subsequently changed this translation to John's Townland.

I have raised a doubt about this translation at the article's Talk page (please read) because no reference or citation was supplied, and because it doesn't square with my own reading of baile hup na hauna (assuming that is, indeed, the correct name in Irish). Can you offer a citation to substantiate your Tunnel of the Goats?

In fairness, I find the John's Townland proposal to be equally dubious because the Irish words Seán and Eoghan do not appear in baile hup na hauna, either. I confess that I have suspected some mischief at play in both alleged translations.

I am open to correction of my doubts if you can justify your translation with a credible citation from a reputable source. Your contribution to the discussion at the article talk page would be welcome, since you created the original translation. Thank you. --O'Dea (talk) 17:53, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is no need to reply, any more. The matter has been resolved. --O'Dea (talk) 08:37, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 17:21, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
