Welcome to the SportsCar Racing group

[edit]

G'day mate, from another ANZAC motor-racing fan! Like you, I share a love of the classic races - both sports cars and F1 - and want to fill in some of those gaps on Wikipedia. And like you I have a bit of an obsession with building a motor-racing library. I've been working on expanding the articles on the Le Mans races. I think I may have enough good sources to build up some of the F1 seasons too in the future. Would you be aware of the Leif Snellman/Hans Etzrodt website "Golden Age of Motor-racing" (http://www.kolumbus.fi/leif.snellman/main.htm) with excellent race reports built up from contemporary papers and magazines? Hello to you too! Yeah it's a great website. I've done a bit of work on a few articles using information from it, as coverage of the '20s and 30s is quite lacking on Wikipedia. I've been trying to include proper reports, but I they still mostly need a lot of work, although I'm not sure I'm the right person to be writing proper long reports (see 1926 Targa Florio for example).A7V2 (talk) 10:52, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
