Ownership of Elite: Dangerous[edit]

I should explain that your comments regarding Elite: Dangerous, viz. "[this] is the only Wikipedia article I've really taken ownership of," clash with Wikipedia's focus on collaborative editing and the free redistribution of its content. I appreciate that your contributions are comparatively recent, but you should nonetheless consult Wikipedia's policy on ownership for an explanation of why such presumptions instigate so many of our disputes on content. When editors defend 'their' articles vigorously, their behaviour may deter others from contributing or provoke hostility, resulting in 'edit wars' that often necessitate intervention, usually blocks, to prevent the conflict escalating. Thanks for the pointer. Reading the article, I think the phrase I was looking for was "primary contributor": people had clearly been poking at the page for a long time but weren't willing to change a structure that no longer made sense, so I decided to move beyond the "bi-annual anonymous edit" level of contribution to thinking holistically about a page for the first time. The point I was making is that I'm still learning the ropes and shouldn't be mistaken for an authority on the topic of page creation. Can you confirm whether "primary contributor" is the right word, and whether it's better to edit my original message or add a clarification below it?
