If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Mohammed Daniel, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Epeefleche (talk) 20:03, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mohammed Daniel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet notability criteria—the subject is only mentioned by one independent source, al-Watan, which only mentions him in relation to conference.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I have nominated Mohammed Daniel, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mohammed Daniel. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Supertouch (talk) 15:45, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Peace unto you Supertouch and thank you for your input regarding MD's article. I see your arguments regarding MD's notability, and kindly ask you to help improve the article or offer advice as you are vastly experienced. I am a newbie and welcome and ideas?

Mohammed Daniel and Surviving AfD

[edit]
Thanks for your note. The discussion is in play, so the thing to do is improve the article so that it can survive. AFD hinges upon meeting notability requirements-- see WP:BIO and WP:BLP. Examine the requirements there closely. The stronger the claim to meeting those requirements, the greater the likelihood of survival. All content must be supported by reliable sources with verifiable information. The more in-depth the coverage, the greater the likelihood of meeting "non-trivial coverage by 3rd party sources independent of the subject." In short-- survival requires notability, and that equates to accomplishment and recognition that has been written about extensively. Hope this helps. Dlohcierekim 14:36, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note. You're welcome. Glad I could help. Yes, 7 days if a consensus has been reached. Longer if not. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 13:53, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
