Warning[edit]

Please stop inserting incorrect and poorly sourced information, as you did on Screen Award for Best Female Playback. If you have no reliable sources to prove you point, which is inoorrect anyway, then edit warring won't help. Hindilyrics.net is one hell of a joke. This is the last warning that you will receive for your disruptive editing, and this is also in reference to your fan-led edits on the Alka Yagnik page - this is no fansite here. If you keep doing this, you will be BLOCKED from editing. Thanks, ShahidTalk2me 08:16, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever has been said about Alka Yagnik is verifiable. Have not given any false information.

Wikipedia is not a fansite, words such as "iconic" are not acceptable. Reliable sources must be given for the claim that she has recorded over 20,000 songs (which is impossible since Asha Bhosle appears on Guinness's last edition as the most receorded singer ever with much less songs). Has she sung in more than 1,000 films? Cite sources for that as well. The sources you show are not reliable - go and read WP:RS. As I said, this is a serious warning which you better consider if you do not want your account blocked. ShahidTalk2me 22:37, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Screen itself has verfied that Alka Yagnik has sung 20000 songs. Nothing can be more reliable than this. Asha Bhosle won Guiness for most recorded solo artist . To say Alka Yagnik is iconic is not false info. There is no ground on which you can block me.

You do not stop edit warring in spite of having been warned. ShahidTalk2me 08:40, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

ANI[edit]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:55, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

ANI[edit]

Hi. I have reverted your removal of the report you made at WP:ANI. If you wish to withdraw your complaint, please just add a comment to say so, or strike it like so. But please don't just blank the section, especially not after it has had comments from others added. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:08, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Haven't forgotten you[edit]

Hi there, Ank! Thanks for being patient re my response to your request for resolution of the content dispute, that you made at the administrators noticeboard. I'm going to respond specifically to that request within the next 30 minutes. I should mention, btw, that I'm not an admin. Any user is welcome to post there. I certainly understand the practical realities of how that noticeboard works, though, and the admins who've commented on the thread you started know me fairly well on-wiki, and seem to value my comments, generally. So I very much doubt any admin will block or sanction you while we're discussing matters there, as long as you try hard to remain polite and don't do anything provocative. So please be patient a bit longer, and we'll work this out, I think. I'll temporarily "watchlist" your page, so if you want to reply here, just below, I'll be sure to see it. Cheers,  – OhioStandard (talk) 15:07, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, removed from watchlist. I've made all the posts to AN/I on this that I'm going to. The IBN Live article can't be used as a source, because it is copied from Wikipedia. I believe I'm now done with this topic and topic area. Cheers,  – OhioStandard (talk) 22:58, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Audio file[edit]

Hi, for a moment ago, you removed this file from the article.can you delineate this?? Enjoy 25 CENTS VICTORIOUS (talk) 13:52, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Alka Yagnik[edit]

Hi, please don't add list of actresses that she has done playback singing for. I have seen many singers' page and many of those don't have that on their article. In my opinion, I don't think its necessary to have those. That was also removed by Vivvt. Please discuss it on talk page before adding that again. Thanks. Torreslfchero (talk) 12:05, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The BLP sources tag was placed on that article for a reason and that reason is explained on the talk page. Removing it repeatedly without addressing the issue could be seen as disruptive. Please work constructively to improve the article. Thanks. --Michig (talk) 07:12, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alka Yagnik, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rahul Sharma (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Alka Yagnik-Debut Year[edit]

For the last time, Payal Ki Jhankaar is a 1979 film. Please refrain from modifying the information. Refer to the source below that indicates this.

"Alka Yagnik: Indian playback singer, vocalist Date of Birth: 20th March Birthplace: Calcutta (Kolkata), India Mother: Shubha Yagnik Height: 5' 6" (1.68 m) Debut film as playback singer: Payal Ki Jhankaar (1979) Claims to fame: with song 'Ek Do Tin' from film Tezaab (1988)"

The source indicated by you has all incorrect info like Alka Yagnik won Filmfare Award for Ek Do Teen in 1999 ,etc hence cannot be accepted as a valid source. Payal Ki Jhankaar released in 1980. See this source http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0156882/ . --ANKMALI (talk) 07:46, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

January 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Geniac. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Alka Yagnik seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 03:56, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Alka Yagnik. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 00:35, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the playback singer article of Wikipedia & Link 1 which calls her iconic. It is not my personal opinion but a widely accepted one. Request you to stop edit-warring with me regarding the same. --ANKMALI (talk) 06:36, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

upload the display picture of Govinda(actor)[edit]

hi ANKMALI, it is my humble request for you to please upload the display picture of Govinda(actor) on wikipedia (Link is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Govinda_%28actor%29). I have uploaded it so many times but everytime some issue occurs regarding license or copyright. I dont know how to fix it or upload image successfully. You can find best pictures of Govinda here http://themirchmasala.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/govinda-photoshoot.jpg

http://hamaraphotos.com/albums300_2012/wpw-20130504/hpse_normal__1644962347_%20Govinda%20photo%20shoot%20for%20designer%20Suprabha%20Jain%20%289%29.jpg

The current Display Picture will also be deleted after 23rd January 2013.

So it would be much better if you upload either the pictures whose link i have given above of Govinda without any licensing/copyright issue or upload any best picture of Govinda. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amanraj6 (talkcontribs) 13:35, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

added enough references in Udit Narayan page[edit]

I have added enough references in Udit Narayan page. Now it is not unverifiable or unreliable sources. Also he has sung on all those actors whose names are mentioned in his page, i have given source for that too. So please do not remove the significant collaboration section from that page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.56.129.123 (talk) 18:54, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is a settled principle from other playback singers'& Indian musical group that only collaborations with music directors is to be mentioned & not actors or duet co-singer. Udit Narayan is not an exception. Also impossible that he's sung 25000 songs , even Guiness record is for 12000 songs by Asha Bhosle --ANKMALI (talk) 08:33, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

haha..I see what you doing here, you are doing the same what shahid did to you on alka yagnik issue. well its a clear fact that udit narayan has sung more than 25000 songs. what you don't know is that Guinness world record for asha Bhosle is for her songs in bollywood only. you just search on Google how many songs udit has sung?. you will get plenty of sites which will confirm that he has actually sung 25000 songs. clear your facts first. However I agree on settled principle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raj007bond007 (talkcontribs) 09:04, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok..i got that. But just one thing i understood that Guinness world record for asha Bhosle is for her singles songs and not for duets. check this reference http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/hindi/music/news-and-interviews/Asha-Bhosle-enters-the-Guinness-World-Records/articleshow/10438519.cms It is clearly written that Asha Bhosle enters the Guinness World Records and was awarded a certificate for the most studio recordings(SINGLES) for recording up to 11,000 songs and in over 20 Indian Languages since 1947.

Udit has sung more than 25000 songs in which mostly are duet songs. HERE are some references which will prove that udit has sung 25000 songs. http://www.planetradiocity.com/musicopedia/article-singer/Udit-Narayan/1054 http://mtv.in.com/thebuzz/music/this-day-in-music/tdim-udit-narayans-birthday-1st-dec-51781072.html http://imusti.com/#!/artists/info/31796/Udit-Narayan http://www.songsmetro.com/udit_narayan1.html Raj007bond007 (talk) 15:22, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

These links donot come under the reliable sources criteria of Wikipedia. They were rejected for the other playback singers also.--ANKMALI (talk) 05:13, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I just come to know Udit has sung more than 15000 songs. Watch Mad In India episode of 2nd March 2014. Host Manish Paul asked Udit Narayan that how many songs he has sung so far,,around 15000. Udit said yes..around 15000. What more proof do you want??..Udit himself admitted that he has sung more than 15000 songs..just watch that episode on star plus.Raj007bond007 (talk) 06:27, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

From 25000 , you have come to 15000. If you can provide a list of his 15000 songs then it can be considered. Just his saying 15000 songs doesn't make it an absolute truth. No point in discussing this issue any further. There has been a similar discussion about Alka Yagnik , Kumar Sanu , Asha Bhosle & others. Unless you can provide a concrete list of his 15000 songs , figure cannot be added. --ANKMALI (talk) 06:33, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

check this video.. http://www.upbulk.com/media/video.php?id=1941341 at 4:12,,Udit said he has sung 15000 songs..just watch it once..please..its a request to you..if you want to add then ok..if not then also ok..but at least watch this video at 4:10-4:16..after that you take the final decision.Raj007bond007 (talk) 06:38, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for watching comedy video..and yes i also saw that video of alka yagnik. now i get it..:)..you seem to be an alka yagnik fan, whereas i am udit narayan fan..seems like we are even. well are you on facebook?? I think we have a lot to talk about..looking forward to talk to you..please tell me your email id so that i can add you on facebook..if you dont have a problem with that.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raj007bond007 (talkcontribs) 09:17, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ok no problem. From your name,i thought you are a girl.Raj007bond007 (talk) 13:00, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop removing the content from udit ji's page. Why are you consistently removing content from his page. You are not an administrator. You can not delete around 10,000 words on your own. Wikipedia has administrators to do this job, so if you want to add something then do it, but think about 100 times before removing so much material. Hope you understand now.Amanraj6 (talk) 05:55, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Look buddy, i have no personal dispute with you. If my language was harsh then i am sorry but I can not understand that why are you consistently removing the content? When wiki has persons to do that job, to verify the content then why are you doing this? and also i want to see the previously settled principles where it must be specifically written that Only significant collaboration with music directors can be added & info with regard to different actors , co-singers not added. so that i stop the edit warring.Amanraj6 (talk) 06:16, 10 March 2014 (UTC) so please show it to me, and till then do not remove any content from udit ji's page. As of now, i am not edit warring with you. But i will have to make Udit's page to the previous version if you dont show that to me in the near future. Thank you.Amanraj6 (talk) 06:21, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ok I checked that..but I just want to say that actors list on udit ji'page was present since his page has been created..if administrator had problem with this..he would have removed this a long time ago..but he did not..instead its you..continuosly deleting the content..also on your talk page some admin said I dont think actors list is necessary. it means it is not a rule that actors list will not be present..its just his personal opinion. . I cant find any setteled principle which took place I dont know whats wrong with you..may be u dislike udit very much..or u are just angry over alka yagnik issue and taking revenge..Wikipedia is not meant to hate a celebrity. last thing which I seriously can not understand is that when admins didnt have problem with actors list on udit page..then why are you being so crazy???Amanraj6 (talk) 14:32, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

see just because of your continuously deleting the content over udit's page, admin has made that semi protected. You Stop making personal comments against me or I will report you. I have also checked your talk page, you have continuously received warning from the admin. Somebody gave you the liberty to edit, and you start considering yourself an admin. maybe now you will understand. In fact, I am happy that semi protection took place, it will help you to realize your mistake and to move on in your life by getting over with this small issue. I may not edit udit page again and again just like you because i have some other important work in my life toooo. One more thing, i saw your latest edit on udit. Bollywood hungama is a reliable source. You can see almost all Indian celebrity pictures on wikipedia from bollywood hungama. Even alka yagnik display pic is from bollywood hungama. Just wanted to add this to your knowledge. so grow up, dont be child and move on in your life. goodbye.Amanraj6 (talk) 04:11, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources for Box office[edit]

Thanks for your contributions. Please remember that most box-office figures for Bollywood movies may not be 100% accurate. Producers inflate figures. Some users believe that boxofficeindia is only reliable while there are others who support Koimoi and International business times. There is no consensus in Wikipedia which source is more accurate. Even gross collection is not equal to net collection.

There are film websites like Koimoi, Bollywood Hungama and Box Office India which can be used as a reference but reputed Indian media websites can also be used as a reliable source.

Few months ago i used to consider boxofficeindia.com as very reliable, but i found about other reliable sources. India Today, The Economic Times, Business Standard , The Financial Express are also reliable sources for Box office collections. Thanks --The Avengers 15:00, 1 December 2015 (UTC).[reply]

File permission problem with File:Alka Yagnik Mirchi Award.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Alka Yagnik Mirchi Award.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

A tag has been placed on File:Alka Yagnik honour.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —SpacemanSpiff 15:37, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

August 2019[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Alka Yagnik. Deletion of sourced content at Alka Yagnik Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:24, 19 August 2019 (UTC) I have not vandalized anything. A particular irrelevant seductive song has no place in this article. ANKMALI (talk) 11:31, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Removing sourced content without proper discussion is akin to vandalism. Thinking that a particular song is 'irrelevant' is cherry picking and POV since you don't seem interested in removing "Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai", not to mention, the song is sung by Yagnik which makes it relevant. It is better discussed in the article talk since the content is here for sometime. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:03, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
