Citations, the easiest way?[edit]

ASCAndrea (talk) 13:00, 4 April 2018 (UTC)April 4, 2018 - I would like to insert more citations in a wikipedia page, but am unsure what the easiest way would be. I am looking for what would be in Word a "hyperlink function", but obviously for Wikipedia. Thank you![reply]

The absolute easiest way (note that it's not the best way) is to place the URL inside of <ref>...</ref> tags. For example, <ref>https://google.com</ref> shows up as.[1] If you want the name (not just a bare url), you use a square bracket (e.g. [https://google.com Google] shows up as Google).
However, the best way of adding a reference is to use the refTooblar; in the edit window you'll see "Cite" at the top of the editing box - clicking it will give you another dropdown menu called "Templates" which will give you a form to fill in all of the relevant data. No need to worry about complex formatting! See WP:REFB/RT for more info.
If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 20:52, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Add more images to go with article?[edit]

( ASCAndrea (talk) 13:54, 10 April 2018 (UTC) ) Thank you to everyone who has helped with the article, I am very glad to have your support. I am confused about the uploading of media. Can I only upload one image? I would like to upload more than one to go with the article. Is that possible? Once I upload new media, the older media is hidden.[reply]

I'm not sure I see the problem. With this edit you added two images at once. You have uploaded three images in total. I couldn't find an instance in your most recent edits where you just replaced one image with another. Huon (talk) 19:21, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
